Waxing

Welcome to female waxing at Artistry Brow Bar.

We specialise in creating an individual wax experience for each and every client. Like threading, waxing is a very quick method of hair removal.

We use the top quality wax, having natural ingredients and essential oils which are designed to promote skin hydration, deliver superior results.

Unlike other areas of the face, waxing around the eyebrow isn’t about removing all hair that is grown in that area. It is very much a case of improving the appearance of eyebrows and removing those brows that have perhaps grown a little bit longer, thicker or don’t seem to want to go in the same direction as the other eyebrows.

Post-Wax

Wax cleanser will remove any residue, and a skin soother helps calm skin and ease redness. Any tiny hairs that were missed by the wax will be cleaned up with tweezers to fine-tune the brows.

The benefits of waxing are that it’s quick and the finish gives sharp, clean lines. On the downside there is the sensitivity issue. If you are prone to redness or reactions waxing may not be the best choice as it pulls at the skin, not just the hairs.

Tinting

The use of natural dyes to colour your eyebrows and eyelashes that are safe to the skin and non-toxic, the procedure involves the application to the hair to accentuate your look and giving depth to the eyes to bring out your natural beauty as well as defining the look you want – lasting up to 2-3 weeks.

Please note all new clients will require a patch test* at least 24 hours prior to tinting.

Is eyebrow tinting safe?

Eyebrow tinting is a lot safer than attempting to dye your eyebrows at home with hair-dye, which is something many women do. Putting any sort of chemical near the eyes is extremely hazardous and inadvisable. At Artistry Brow Bar a qualified beauty professional minimises the risk.
